It was on March of this year, one month before of my arrival at CERN that Prof. Paula Vilarinho, from the Department of Ceramics and Glass Engineering of the University of Aveiro challenged me to build a website for this event she was responsible to organize.

Microscopy at the Frontiers of Science is the 2nd Joint Congress of the Portuguese and Spanish Microscopy Societies. This event is happening since 18th of October and will continue until the 21st of October in the University of Aveiro.

I accepted the challenge to build an website for this great event and chose as the main engine for it the powerfull WordPress.

This website was somehow challenging for me, because of the suden change on my life, by comming to work at CERN in Geneva, Switzerland. I have spent on this website more 100 hours of work, building its structure, and image, and constantly updating the website with new information for the event (even during the event).

For this website I used a pre constructed theme and several plugins to help to get the website more functional. This website had also facebook integration.

I did everything since the renting of a server to the instalment of WordPress and the building of the website itself.
